Applying for a queue number

To apply for a right-of-occupancy apartment at Haso, you will need a queue number. Queue numbers are issued by the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland (ARA).

When we offer an apartment to applicants, they are placed in order by their queue numbers. The applicant with the smallest number is first in queue.

Queue number

  • Queue number applications are subject to a fee. The fee is €9.20.
  • The queue umber is valid for two years. (The validity of old, municipality-issued queue numbers expired on 31 December 2023.)
  • You can check the validity of ARA-issued queue numbers after 1 September 2023 in the queue number register.
  • The queue number is valid nationwide and can be used to apply for an apartment from your right-of-occupancy association of choice.
  • You can apply for a queue number alone or with your family unit.
  • Whether individually or as part of a family unit, an applicant may only have one valid queue number.
  • It is not possible to hand your queue number to someone else.
  • The applicant is responsible for providing a correct queue number with their application. Haso will verify the validity of the queue number from ARA before offering a contract.
